Individual and relationship Counselling

Are you feeling stuck in your relationship or even within yourself?

Maybe you’re wondering, why does this keep happening? Why can’t I say what I really mean?

Whether it’s with as partner, a friend, or just in your own thoughts, it can be hard to know where to go next or how to make sense of what you’re feeling.

Often, our difficulties stem from communication breakdowns- not just with others, but with ourselves. When we’re unclear on our needs, emotions, or patterns, relationships can feel confusing or strained.

That’s where counselling can help.

Through individual or relationship work, we’ll explore what’s going on beneath the surface. You’ll start to understand yourself more deeply, communicate more clearly, and make lasting changes in how you connect with others.

Individual Counselling

Online or In-Person
£60 per 50 min Appointment.

As a Transactional Analysis Counsellor, contracting is a vital part of our developing therapeutic relationship. It helps establish safety, clarity, and shared goals for our work together. Once we’ve agreed on a contract, we’ll draw on the wealth of theory within Transactional Analysis to explore and broaden your awareness of self.

This may look like exploring how early beliefs- shaped by caregiver messages and past experiences- continue to influence your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours today. We will work together to bring awareness to any repetitive patterns or psychological ‘games’ that may be keeping you stuck.

Counselling is not a quick fix, and we typically agree to work together for a number of weeks before reviewing your progress and deciding how to move forward.

Couples Counselling

Online or In-Person
£120 per 90 min Appointment.

I offer relationship counselling for couples at any stage- whether you’re facing challenges or wanting to strengthen your connection. Many people believe that therapy is only for crises, but meaningful work can happen even before things reach breaking point.

You might be married and struggling, in a long term relationship and unsure about the future together. You may be considering separation or have separated and want to find a way to co-parent together in an amicable way. Or, you may simply be curious, knowing that you are in a healthy relationship and want to explore how you can deepen your connection or prepare for future challenges.

I use the Bader-Pearson Model of Development in my work with couples and incorporate areas of Transactional Analysis that can help highlight individual processes with the relationship. This helps couples navigate differences, have tough conversations, and experience how this can strengthen bonds.

As with Individual counselling, contracting is key. We’ll start with an initial meeting to see if we’re a good fit to work together. Couples counselling can be short-term or long-term work, depending on the goals and needs of the couple.
